Concert with the Vejlefjord-Skolen-Choir

On Saturday, 26 April 2025, 4.00 pm, Friedensau Adventist University invites you to a concert with the Vejlefjord-Skolen-Choir in the chapel, An der Ihle 5, 39291 Friedensau. The young Danish singers under the direction of Karin Abrahamsen will offer a programme of gospels and spirituals; they will sing in Danish, German and English. Admission is free; a donation is requested.

The Vejlefjord Choir is already well known in Friedensau, having performed here several years ago. The choir currently consists of around 20 singers aged between 15 and 20. They are pupils from Vejlefjord High School, a Seventh-day Adventist school in Denmark. Every spring, the choir goes on a choir trip abroad, and this year they are travelling to Germany: to Friedensau and Berlin. When travelling abroad, the choir endeavours to perform in the respective national language, so that the repertoire includes choral works in several languages. ‘Listening is fun, singing yourself is better’ – this is also the opinion of the Friedensau Adventist University Choir, which will be performing two songs together with the Vejlefjord Skolen Choir at this concert.
