Tennen Dalieh Tehoungue spoke on “Peace and Conflict Studies

As part of the course "International Peace and Conflict Studies", Dr. phil. Annette Witherspoon invited the International Social Sciences course and the university community of Friedensau Adventist University to a research presentation on Thursday, April, 27, 2023. The speaker was Tennen Dalieh Tehoungue, a PhD student in International Security and Conflict Studies at Dublin City University, who was given the opportunity to share her current research on universal jurisdiction, transitional justice, peacebuilding and reconciliation processes in Africa.

Ms Tehoungue is an academic and women's rights activist with practical experience in implementing relevant international development programmes. She worked as an officer in the office of the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Jewel Howard Taylor. Tennen Dalieh Tehoungue is the recipient of the African Girls Leadership Scholarship, which was presented to her by Liberian peace activist and 2011 Nobel Laureate, Leymah Gbowee.
