Rector of FAU says goodbye to Prof. Dr. med. Edgar Voltmer

Prof. Dr. med. Edgar Voltmer will leave Friedensau Adventist University (FAU) on January 31, 2019. He was offered a W3 professorship of Health Promotion in University and Job at the University of Lübeck and will start there on February 1, 2019. Prof. Voltmer has been working as a professor at FAU since 2002, first as a lecturer, and then, after his habilitation at the Freiburger Institute of Music Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Albert-Ludwig-University Freiburg, as a professor of Health Sciences at the School of Social Sciences of FAU. His research focus has been on job-related psychosocial burden and approaches to job-specific prevention and health promotion. This will also be his research focus at his new workplace. "I enjoyed working with the students, colleagues, and staff of Friedensau Adventist University", said Prof. Voltmer, "but after 17 years, time has come to venture a new beginning. I have enjoyed a long-standing research cooperation with the University of Lübeck, which reaches its peak in this professorship."

It has not been decided yet who will succeed Prof. Voltmer at FAU.
