On 25 January 2025 ‘Friedensau is on the road’

21. Jan. 2025

On Saturday, 25 January 2025, teachers, students and staff of Friedensau Adventist University will be on the road to visit ten different Adventist churches in Nordrhein-Westfalen. In Duisburg-Ruhrort, Duisburg, Oberhausen, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Velbert-Neviges, Düsseldorf, Bochum, Velbert and Dortmund, they will preach and introduce themselves as the teachers of the Adventist University. In the afternoon, the event ‘University meets congregation’ will take place from 3.00 pm in the Adventist Church in Essen, Hohenzollernstraße 63. The focus will be on two keynote speeches: Professor Stefan Höschele will talk about ‘Fulfilment, success, development: how we arrive at goals and what they do to us’ and lecturer Dr Bojan Godina will ask ‘Are Christians allowed to be happy?’

Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to discuss these and other interesting questions. Various musical contributions will round off the afternoon. Whether young or old – all interested parties are cordially invited.

Friedensau was founded in 1899 and celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2024. Founded in 1899 as a missionary and industrial school, Friedensau Adventist University of Theology today continues the tradition as a state-recognised university under the auspices of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Ten B.A. and M.A. degree programmes – some of which are part-time, online or part-time – are available in the Schools of Social Sciences and Theology: https://www.thh-friedensau.de. Prospective students can register for taster days and get to know life in the lecture and on campus. For more information on events, see: www.thh-friedensau.de/news and www.friedensau.de.
