New academic year opened at the FAU

On Monday, October 9, 2023, enrollment took place at Friedensau Adventist University for the winter semester 2023/24. In a ceremony in the chapel at Otto-Lüpke-Haus, Rector Prof. Dr. phil. Roland E. Fischer, on behalf of the university management, welcomed students, lecturers and staff to the joint start of the new academic year.
37 new students, almost half of them international students from 11 different countries, began their studies at Friedensau Adventist University. 10 participants in the voluntary social year "1Year4Jesus" were welcomed to Friedensau and also posed for the photographer.
As of the fall semester, the School of Theology includes two new faculty members: Martin Klingbeil, D.Litt, Professor of Old Testament, and Goran Živkovic, Ph.D., Lecturer of Old Testament.
In the evening, at the Welcome Dinner in the Barn, the new students were able to meet representatives of the various departments of the university and make contacts. The team around Mensa chef Alexander Helmeke conjured up a particularly delicious menu.
