EUD Executive Committee decides on future pastor training

In its autumn meeting of November 1, 2020, the Executive Committee of the Inter-European Division of Seventh-day Adventists (EUD) decided on further steps for a reorientation of the training of pastors. After it was decided in spring that a pan-European Master's program for professional qualification should be introduced for the 2022/2023 academic year, the committee decided on November 2, 2020, that EUD would locate the European training for the "Master of Pastoral Ministry" in Friedensau. A commission had transparently evaluated the applications from three universities and then recommended Friedensau.
The committee instructed an international curriculum commission to determine the contents of this new program and to develop a curriculum. The ThHF is now also responsible for setting up resources and infrastructure to accommodate theology students from the EUD countries and additional teachers.
The ThHF would like to thank the EUD for the trust placed in it by this vote and looks forward to further intensive cooperation with the EUD, the church leaders in the EUD countries and the schools in order to be able to offer the most attractive range of courses possible.
