Bible Study Day on “Confession of Sin and Absolution”

On November, 13, 2022, Prof. Rolf Pöhler spoke at the Bible Study Day of the Hanse Conference in Adendorf near Lüneburg on "Confession and Absolution of Sins in the Adventist Church". The issue of confession and forgiveness of sins is rarely addressed by Adventists. Using the Bible, Dietrich Bonhoeffer's experiences in the Finkenwalde preacher's seminary as well as his own experiences as a pastor, Pöhler showed what "evangelical confession" and the forgiveness of sins are all about. About half of the participants took part in the study day on site, the other half were connected via zoom. In addition to Prof. Pöhler, Prof. Udo Worschech, former rector of Friedensau Adventist University, also spoke on the topic from an Old Testament perspective.
