Academic year 2018/19 ceremoniously opened

On October 8, 2018, the new academic year 2018/19 was ceremoniously opened at Friedensau Adventist University (FAU). With a speech in the chapel in the Otto Lüpke Building, Rector Prof. Dr. phil. Roland Fischer warmly welcomed the new students in behalf of the administration of FAU. In his speech, he referred to the values of the educational institution, established in 1899, which are: 1. Serving people, 2. Interculturality, 3. Equal Opportunities, 4. Tolerance, 5. Trust, 6. Spirituality.
57 students began their studies in the winter semester 2018/19 at FAU in the Bachelor's programs B.A. Theology and B.A. Social Work and the Master's programs M.A. International Social Sciences, M.A. Music Therapy, M.A. Counseling, M.A. Social and Health Management, and Master of Theological Studies, and in the course "German as Foreign Language". The new students come from Brazil, Costa Rica, Germany, Ghana, Kenya, Colombia, Ukraine, and the USA.
