Graduation and award ceremony
15. Oct. 2018
Friedensau Adventist University (FAU) invited to the graduation ceremony in the chapel of Friedensau on October 14, 2018. Twenty-nine graduates from the School of Theology and the School of Social Sciences received their certificates. The official speech was given by Stephan G. Brass (Munich), pastor and communications representative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Germany. In his motivating speech, he quoted Martin Luther in a very modern way and addressed every single graduate: "Don't be discouraged. If you know who you are, if you know your point of view and are firm in it, no one can change you. But you can make a change!" After the formal handover of the Bachelor's and Master's certificates, three students were honored for their outstanding achievements and voluntary commitment.
Stephen Frimpong Amponsah from Ghana, who is studying in the Master's program of International Social Sciences (ISS), was awarded the prize of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) of €1,000. Deborah Esposito, Head of the Friedensau International Choir who is extraordinarily committed to the project, was awarded the promotional award of €500 of Sparkasse Jerichower Land for special commitment in the School of Social Sciences, handed over by Sieglinde Wilke from Sparkasse Jerichower Land. And Filip Kapusta, M.A. Theology, was awarded the Waltraud-und-Herbert-Blomstedt-Prize for Theology of €500 from Förderverein Freundeskreis Friedensau International e.V., handed over by the Dean of the School of Theology Dr. Stefan Höschele.
Congratulations to the three prize winners and to all graduates!
